AMJON holds All Nigerian Maritime Journalists’ Retreat next week

The Association of Maritime Journalists of Nigeria (AMJON) has announced its maiden ‘All Nigerian Maritime Journalists Retreat’ slated to hold from November 9th to 11th 2016 at Administrative Staff College of Nigeria (ASCON), Topo, Badagry, Lagos State.

The event which promises to attract the who is who in the industry, would have the Minister of Transportation, Rt. Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi as the Guest of Honour.

The first day which is on the 9th will welcome the participants, stakeholders and members to the venue of the event, while the second day which is on the 10th will feature paper presentations from prospective agencies like Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA), National Inland Waterways Authority (NIWA), Nigeria Shippers Council, (NSC) among others.

On the 11th which will be the last of the three day event will also witness paper presentations in line with string of programmes lined up for the events before departure.

A release signed by the Secretary of the Planning Committee, Hon. David Adekunle invites all maritime journalists, industry practitioners, government agencies and indeed the general public to the epoch making event which promises to reposition the profession for better performance.
