Lagos State Police Command has again crackdown on another criminal hideouts in Ikorodu.
According to top police source who hinted worldtopnewsng.com, on the crackdown said the strike was done base on intelligence report reaching them.
The source said, “The crackdown was timely, after we got the information by our intelligence team, we storm there and cracked down on their hideouts”.
The source said Commissioner of Police in the state, CP Fatai Owoseni has directed his Deputy in-charge for Operations, DCP Edgar Imohimi and other security chiefs in the state to ensure all bad elements Ikorodu got wiped out.
According to the source “As am talking with you, CP has given us marching order to ensure Ikorodu and its environs are secure”.
The source added “His Deputy-in-charge for Operations, DCP Edgar Imohimi, will lead the operation while RRS Commander, ACP Tunji Disu and other security chiefs the state will assist him.
The police source said they were working in synergy with other security agencies such as, Department of State Services (DSS), State Intelligence Bureau (SIB), Force Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department (FCIID), Task Force among others.
“Police are on almost every road of Ikorodu now, our intelligence teams are working tirelessly day and night. We are in good relationship with DSS, SIB, FCIID, Task Force among others”, the source said.
The Police source said they enjoin all residents to go about with their valid forms of identification.
A Resident of the area who didn’t want his mentioned because of security reasons confirmed the raid to worldtopnewsng.com adding that this time police reached farther than the way they struck the last time.
“In fact, I was frightened today (yesterday) they (police) raided their hideouts and shrines”, the resident said.
The resident continued,“we are feeling the presence of police in our vicinity now, the way things are, police are doing great job.
Meanwhile, worldtopnewsng.com learnt security agencies had meeting with Ayangburen of Ikorodu, Oba Kabiru Adewale Shotobi and other stakeholders yesterday.
