The Lagos State Police Command has advised the general public to come forward with any information that could lead to the rescue and insight to the alleged abduction of one Yusuf Ogundare, the Baale of Shangisha.

A statement issued in Lagos Thursday by the command’s Public Relations Officer (PRO), ASP Olarinde Famous-Cole noted that one Mohammed Adams, Male of No.1 Mutairu Street Shangisha, on the 5th of July, 2017 at about 1330hrs reported to the Police that about 1200hrs on the  said day, he accompanied his brother named Yusuf Ogundare, Male, the Baale of Shangisha to CMD Guest House, Shangisha, after he was invited on phone by some men who wanted to buy a piece of land.

The statement added that Adams  stated further that while taking the men to Shangisha inside the buyer’s Toyota Venza saloon car with unknown registration number for the inspection of the land, they discovered that the men,  three of them were armed.

It further quoted Adams as saying that the hoodlums subsequently diverted the journey and on getting to Domino’s Pizza Junction, along the CMD Road, Shangisha, he was dropped by the roadside while his brother was taken away to an unknown destination and that efforts to reach him on phone proved abortive as he made his way to the police station.

Adams, according to the statement said he suspected one Jamiu Lawal of No. 5 Lawal Street Orgeun and Saliu Akanni as the master minds of the act due to the long feud and protracted dispute between the suspects and the Baale of Shangisha on Baale’s title.

It disclosed that investigation had commenced and effort was being made to arrest those mentioned while tracking of other hoodlums had been initiated.
