… Charges IGP on justice
Former House of Representatives Member, Hon. Prince Ned Nwoko has commiserated with the families of the victims of the Sunday attack on St. Philip’s Catholic Church, Ozubulu in Anambra State where scores had been confirmed dead and many injured.
Nwoko, a former leader in the House of Representative however called on the Inspector-General of Police to quickly fish out the criminals behind the dastardly act.
While describing the act as ‘unfortunate, wicked and painful’, he admonished the bereaved to take solace in the fact that those who perpetrate evil would never go unpunished.
He therefore called on security agencies to immediately arrest and prosecute the perpetrators of the dastardly act, going by the revelations of the Anambra State Governor and the Commissioner of Police who had visited the crime scene.
Nwoko, an astute lawyer enjoined Nigerians to appreciate and respect the sanctity of human life, maintaining that nobody has a right to take a life except God.
“The Ozubulu incident was really a sad incident. As a lawyer, I believe that the perpetrators must not be allowed to go unpunished. I am calling on the Inspector General of Police to wade into the matter and use all security tools available to trace the criminals and bring them to book”.
