Man takes own life, jumps into Lagos lagoon

Rescue operations are ongoing about now to recover the body of a man who jumped off the Lekki-Ikoyi bridge into the Lagos lagoon, Primetime Reporters can authoritatively report.

The man identified as Oluseyi Ajayi dropped his personal belongings and clothes before jumping into the water, apparently in a bid to end his life.

The incident happened at about 10.00am this morning. Primetime Reporters also gathered that the family of the man had been contacted.

The Public Relations Officer of the Lagos State Waterways Authority (LASWA), Nkechi Ajayi disclosed that LASWA in collaboration with the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA) were making effort to recover the body of the man.

As at the time of filing this report, the body of the man is yet to be recovered even as the reason for his action is yet unknown.
