Osinbajo fires DSS Director-General, Daura

The Acting President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, SAN, has directed the immediate termination of the appointment of the Director-General of the State Security Service (DSS), Lawal Musa Daura with immediate effect.

A statement from the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Office of the Acting President, Laolu Akande on Tuesday said Mr. Daura has been directed to hand over to the most senior officer of the State Security Service until further notice.

The statement reads,”The Acting President, Professor Yemi Osinbajo, SAN, has directed the termination of the appointment of the Director General, State Security Service, Lawal Musa Daura with immediate effect.

“Mr. Daura has been directed to hand over to the most senior officer of the State Security Service until further notice”.

No reason was given for the termination of Daura’s appointment.
