Maritime Watch Newspaper to honour AREFFN Secretary, Opara with Lifetime Achievement Award

The interim National Secretary of the Association of Registered Freight Forwarders Nigeria (AREFFN), Mr. Chidi Anthony Opara will on Saturday 13th October, 2018 receive Lifetime Achievement Award for his contribution in the practice of freight forwarding in Nigeria.

The award is to be conferred on Opara by a maritime industry newspaper, Maritime Watch as part of the activities marking the 17th Anniversary of the medium scheduled to hold at the Lagos Airport Hotel at 11.00am on the said date.

According to the letter conveying his nomination which was signed by the Publisher/Editor-in-Chief of the Maritime Watch Newspaper, Mr. Shola Mekusi and sighted by our correspondent, the editorial board had followed with keen interest Opara’s giant strides in the maritime industry hence his nomination for the award.

“Against this background, the Board of Directors and Management of our organization have deemed it fit to bestow on you a special award; Lifetime Achievement Award in professionalizing and repositioning the freight forwarding in Nigeria.

“This year’s award ceremony is the tenth in the series by this newspaper”, the letter said.
