According to him,” Armed with the information, I directed the officer in charge of RRS to deploy a team of police riders to Oshodi Bridge. On getting there, the men swung into action and arrested the aforementioned suspects.
“They were subsequently searched and a Samsung X8 phone belonging to the Guardian News Paper Editor -in- Chief who was robbed same day at about 1730 hours was recovered from them. Other items belonging to the said journalist recovered from the thieves include; Guardian I.D Card bearing the name of one Debo Adesina and four ATM cards”.

Meanwhile, the Police in Lagos have arrested two suspects namely; Ikechukwu Sunday Prince and Gabriel Collins for conspiracy and armed robbery.
The Police Commissioner in charge of the Lagos State Police command, CP Imohimi Edgal while briefing journalists on the activities of the command said that he received a report on 4th September, 2018 that one Ikechukwu Sunday Prince, driver to an upwardly mobile individual, resident in Lekki, absconded with his Honda Accord Saloon car with registration number LSD 33 DF and that the suspect switched off his phone.
He observed that it was on the strength of the report that he directed the Officer in Charge FSARS Ikeja to investigate and ensure that the suspect was arrested.
He said, “Meanwhile, as detectives were toiling night and day to apprehend him, it was discovered that the suspect has relocated to Ghana for refuge but Operatives never relented as they kept monitoring his movement along that coast of Nigeria and Ghana. Their efforts paid off when they noticed he returned to Lagos and formed a four- man-gang of armed robbers.
“Interestingly, his gang robbed a Toyota Corolla Saloon car at Ajah and locked the owner inside the boot, unknown to them that the car has a tracking device. Along the way, the man in the boot was able to open it from inside and escaped.
“However, the reign of the fugitive of the law, Ikechukwu Sunday Prince came to an end when he was arrested with one of his gang members, Gabriel Collins while trying to sell the stolen car at Ajah. Worthy of mention is that both the recently robbed car and the Honda Accord Saloon car, 2014 model, Ikechukwu Sunday had earlier stolen from his boss have been recovered.
“Investigation is ongoing; suspects will definitely have their day in court”.
