Lagos Police arrest two suspected cult leaders in Bariga

Detectives from Bariga Police Station of the Lagos State Police command at about 11.30pm on 25th September, 2019 arrested one Osonye Henrise, about 24 years old alleged to be a kingpin of the Aiye Confraternity.

The Police Public Relations Officer of the command, Mr. Bala Elkana who confirmed the arrest to newsmen in a statement in Lagos on Sunday said that the suspect was arrested at at Idumota Church Street, Bariga for attempting to kill one Bosiga on the same date at Araromi Street, Bariga.

Elkana disclosed that the suspect was believed to be the second in command to one Adekunle Adesanya alias idon tei that was killed on 24th September, 2019 at Edo Evans Street, Bariga adding that investigation was ongoing and that suspect would be charged to Court.

He further disclosed that Detectives from Bariga Police Station on 26th September, 2019 at about 5.15am arrested one Babatunde Fadairo, 22years old.

“The suspect is alleged to have led five others to kill one Ahmed Saul’s about 32 years old with a stone at new garage.  The suspect is a known Eiye Confraternity stalwart while the deceased was an Aiye Confraternity capon. Investigation is ongoing, suspect will soon be charged to Court”, he said.
