Anambra: Harvest of petroleum tanker mishaps as another fire incident averted in Agulu

Another fire incident was about 7.00am this morning averted at Agulu in Anaocha Local Government Area of Anambra State.

According to a statement in Awka by the Police Public Relations Officer, Anambra State Police command, SP Haruna Mohammed, a truck fully loaded with Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) popularly known as petrol suffered a break failure while trying to make a U-turn.

The statement added that the Commissioner of Police Anambra State, CP John Abang has visited the scene noting the Fire Service Department was equally on ground to contain any fire outbreak.

“Meanwhile, another truck was brought to empty the content of the initial truck. The area is being cordoned off by the police to prevent casualties”, the statement said.
