Police Games: Force Secretary arrives Anambra for assessment of sporting facilities

Following approval by the Inspector-general of Police, IGP Mohammed Adamu for the hosting of Police Games 2020 in Anambra State, the Force Sports planning Committee chaired by the Force Secretary, AIG Alkali Baba Usman has arrived the Anambra State Police Command Headquarters, Awka on a two day official engagement with the Local Organising Committee (LOC) members.

A statement from the Police Public Relations Officer of the command, SP Haruna Mohammed in Awka, the Anambra State capital on Monday said that the official engagement with the LOC members would also review final arrangements for the Police Games scheduled to hold tentatively in the first quarter of the year in Anambra State.

Mohammed informed that the Sports Committee also visited venues where the sporting events would hold in order to ascertain levels of preparedness for the games regarding facilities and to determine progress of work done so far.

He further stated that the Chairman and members of the Committee equally paid a courtesy visit to His Excellency the executive Governor of Anambra State, Governor Willie Obiano and thanked him on behalf of the Inspector-general  of Police for his commitment towards ensuring the success of the event.
