It was indeed a very colourful ceremony for Wives of Officers and Men of the Nigeria Immigration Service as they commissioned a beautiful edifice; the IMMOWA Ultra-Modern Market at the Headquarters of the Nigeria Immigration Service Abuja, on Wednesday.

Commissioning the Ultra-Modern Market, the Comptroller General of the Nigeria Immigration Service, Muhammad Babandede who was the Special Guest of Honour said he was thrilled by the accomplishment of the Association, adding that “this is the first time IMMOWA has built a structure of such magnitude”.

He explained that he was glad because the project was initiated and exclusively executed by the Association.

While congratulating the president of IMMOWA, Hajiya Gadatu Babandede for a job well done, he stated that IMMOWA has shown great commitment, capacity and accountability in the handling of the building project and NIS will not mind engaging them in some of its projects in the future.

The CGI was equally impressed by the quality of work done.

In her address, the president of IMMOWA, Hajiya Gadatu Babandede was full of appreciation to her supportive husband, his management team and NIS technical partners for the support given to IMMOWA during the construction of the project.

She added that the Ultra-Modern Market which has 96 different types of shops is a source of investment which will help to generate income for the organisation.

Present at the occasion were presidents of wives of sister organisations, past executives and members of IMMOWA who were presented with Awards. Also present were all Chairpersons of State chapters of the IMMOWA.
