“Consider this inauguration as a step to fulfill your aspiration to become great journalists in future. JIFORM will always be there for you as we encourage you to chorus with us advocacy against irregular migration, human trafficking and all forms of crimes associated with migration.

“Your school has made history to have the first JIFORM Club even though there are other institutions waiting for similar opportunities in Nigeria, South America and Europe. We thank the management of your ESCAE for this collaboration. Let me also state that this club offers a professional vocation opportunity to advance your chosen career in journalism and you can always count on us for support.

“I will ensure that JIFORM design more training programmes to support your academic focus, however, you must know that the first priority is your primary assignment here.”

Dr. Isaac Abiodun Ajijola, the Director of Studies, ESCAE, said the school would always back every positive programme aimed at enhancing the knowledge of the students.

He charged the students to be good ambassadors of the institution adding that the school would continue to work with JIFORM.

The JIFORM Club elected Chiamaka Patience, Adedamola Precious, Olorunjedalo Favour, Maina Opeyemi, Kolawole Olamide, Easter Ademola, Lawal Ademola, Inno Tochukwu as president, vice president, secretary, treasurer, financial secretary and members respectively.

We are grateful and appreciate the fact that it is the beginning of a new development in the Republic of Benin for the executive members. It is a clarion call to service; we are ready to actualize the dream of the organization”.

Those in attendance included Mr. Bismarck Sosa, member of JIFORM Benin Republic, Mr. Stephen Kadiri and Mr. Ekundayo Ololade, both lecturers in the school.

JIFORM, founded in 2018 has been organizing the annual global summit on migration. In February 25-26, 2021, the body in partnership with the Nekotech Center of Excellence, Ghana organized the maiden edition of the African Migration Summit in Accra, Ghana.
