The Federal Polytechnic, Oko in Anambra State has warned that some unscrupulous elements, parading themselves as the Rector of Federal Polytechnic Oko, Anambra State have gone about, hoodwinking unsuspecting gullible job seekers of their hard earned monies, purportedly paid into the criminals’ accounts for recruitment purposes.

The warning was contained in a statement issued in Oko on Thursday by the Acting Public Relations Officer of the Polytechnic, Mr. Chijioke Ibeziako.

According to Ibeziako, the Rector of the institution, Dr. Nwafulugo Francisca Unoma had no Facebook account warning that any nomenclature in resemblance or mimicking her name in Facebook domain was fake and should be disregarded or seen as impersonation.

He stated that the Rector in her manner of integrity is a law abiding citizen and had not delegated anybody to collect money on her behalf under the guise of employment even as he informed that she was not aware of any such person using her name to defraud job seekers.

“Nigerians should be obviously aware of such common recruitment frauds and any one deceived in that regard should have himself or herself to be blamed.

“Individuals who are aware of these obnoxious happenings should alert law enforcement agencies to track down such criminals collecting money for any form of recruitment in any MDA, not just Federal Polytechnic Oko.

“The Institution has no vacancy and as such has no recruitment plan for the nearest future”, Ibeziako said.

The Polytechnic spokesman counseled the criminals to have a rethink and end the odious act as nemesis would soon catch up with them.
