…Says incentivizing education may improve girl child participation

The First lady of the Federal Republic of Nigeria Senator Oluremi Tinubu CON has said girls must be encouraged to have positive dreams and pursue them with vigor.

She was speaking in New York while receiving Miss Zuriel Oduwole, founder of Dususu Foundation with focus on girl child advocacy, peace mediation and climate.

Senator Oluremi Tinubu explained that education remains pivotal to the administration of President Bola Tinubu adding that she would join forces to ensure that the girl child in Nigeria gets a good life.

“Education gave me the opportunity to be who I am today. I remember a quote by an anonymous person that says, ‘dream, because the dream will keep you alive and keeps you going’.

“We want to encourage girls and will continue to encourage girls in Nigeria. Please come to Nigeria and show the girls that there is a better way of life they can emulate.”

The First Lady thanked Zuriel Oduwole for being a worthy ambassador of not only Nigeria but the female gender as a whole.

On her part, Zuriel Oduwole was of the opinion that the best way to impact the girl child is to show and not tell.

Zuriel Oduwole is known for her development work across the globe, advocating for girl’s education, advocating against child marriages and peace mediation.
