ASATU Youth Wing Holds Annual Seminar, Honours ACTDA Boss

The members of Anambra State Association of Town Unions, ASATU, Youth Wing led by Comrade Ken Okoli, recently at Professor Dora Akunyili Women’s Development Centre, Awka, honoured the Managing Director of Awka Capital Territory Development Agency, ACTDA, Hon. Ossy Onuko with “Patron of Anambra Youth Award.”

Presenting the award to the ACTDA Boss during a seminar organized by the association, ASATU Youth President described him as an epitome of youthfulness and a beacon of light, even as he urged him to continue the good works he said he had been doing for the youths of Anambra State.

Comrade Okoli stated that before the end of 2024, ASATU Youth Wings would be established in all the states of Nigeria, and in all countries of the world.

Receiving the Award on behalf of Onuko, the National Coordinator of the Soludo Ambassadors, High Chief Obayor Nwachukwu, extolled the work done by the ASATU Youth Wing and encouraged them to do more for the young people in the state.

Hon. Onuko implored the state government, relevant Agencies and well meaning Ndi Anambra to harness the human capital potentials in the youths of today in order to shift their minds from drug abuse and other social vices.

“Youths are the bedrock of society, and if properly trained, will yield uncommon fruits for Nigeria in general and Anambra State in particular”, he said.

Hon. Onuko who is also the Convener of the Soludo Ambassadors promised to work assiduously in uplifting the youths of Anambra at all times.

Exchange of pleasantries, presentation of a plaque and a book to Honourable Onuko, refreshments formed the highpoints of the occasion.
