ANLCA VP, Oduntan Bags Most Outstanding Customs Broker Of The Year Award

The Maritime Industry Merit Awards, MIMA organised by Maritime Media Limited, Publishers of the Shipping World Magazine, on Tuesday, honoured the National Vice President of the Association of Nigerian Licensed Customs Agents, ANLCA, Prince Segun Oduntan with the Most Outstanding Customs Broker of the Year Award.

Oduntan was honoured alongside other distinguished maritime industry stakeholders at a night of glitz and glamour which held at the Oriental Hotel in Lagos.

The Award on Prince Oduntan drew members from ANLCA chapters across the nation, including chapter chairmen and executives from Lagos, Port-Harcourt, Onne among others who flew into Lagos to witness the award ceremony, thus demonstrating the level of support and love he enjoys in the association.

The National Executive Committee, NECOM and the Board of Trustees, BoT members including Demola Mumuney and Dayo Azeez, chapter executive, Chief Oye Ariyo as well as the ANLCA Patron, Prince Taiye Oyeniyi among the dignitaries were led to the event by the ANLCA National President, Mr. Emenike Nwokeoji.

Prince Oduntan, a royalty from Ikorodu Kingdom, also drew royal fathers including the Adeboruwa of Igbogbo Kingdom, Oba Semiudeed Orimadegun Kasali, His Royal Majesty Oba Sejiro James of Kweme Kingdom in Badagry among others.

Prince Segun Oduntan is a renowned and accomplished practitioner in the freight forwarding, logistics and shipping industry.

He studied Mass Communication from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka. A fellow of the Nigerian Institute of Shipping, Prince Oduntan holds numerous honorary awards in the shipping and freight industry in Nigeria.

As the Managing Director/ Chief Executive Officer of Settle Systems Nigeria Limited, established in 1998, with offices in Apapa, Ikeja, Port-Harcourt, Abuja and other sister companies in Nigeria, Prince Oduntan has made indelible contributions to the maritime and logistics sectors.

Driven by a commitment to professional integrity, Prince Oduntan has championed the movement to restore dignity to the freight forwarding profession in Nigeria.

Prince Oduntan distinguished himself not only in his field of endeavor but also in humanitarian causes and acts of patriotism. His commitment to service is further demonstrated by his involvement in various organizations including the Lagos Country Club.

In recognition of his professional excellence, contribution to the maritime industry, organisers of the MIMA Awards presented Prince Segun Oduntan with the Most Outstanding Customs Broker of the Year 2024 award on Tuesday night in Lagos.
