A member of the Board of Trustees, BoT of the National Association of Government Approved Freight Forwarders, NAGAFF, Dr. Goodluck Onunji has congratulated the Chairman, Board of Trustees, BoT Chairman of the association, Mr. Chidiebere Enelama on his 70th birthday anniversary describing him as an asset to the association and God fearing.
Onunji who sent his congratulatory message to Enelama on the sideline of the event held in his honour by NAGAFF last week in Lagos, recalled that Enelama was co-founder of NAGAFF and the New Nigeria People’s Party, NNPP, a political wing of the association.
Noting that all members of the association were happy to celebrate the Board Chairman, Onunji who is a former Chairman of NAGAFF at the PTML chapter stated that Enelama had been patient and consistent with the association since they helped the founder, Dr. Boniface Aniebonam to found the association.
On what made the celebration so important, the NAGAFF Board Member said, “What makes it important is that right from the inception of NAGAFF in 1999, and the New Nigeria People’s Party in 2001/2002, he has never looked back nor sabotagd the association in any way. He has been a committed member of the association who had devotedly work for its growth and well-being.
“Again, he has never for one day reminded us of his birthday. For him to come this year 2025 to say that today was making his 70 years on this earth, that he wanted to thank God for it. So, all of us said that he can’t do it alone, we all are going to join him to thank God for his 70th birthday anniversary. That is why it looks different and special.
“NAGAFF has appreciated him to the extent that nothing is too much and nothing is too small. With what he has done, to me, I believe that there is nothing NAGAFF can do to appreciate him than to ask God to give him more days on earth in good health and wellness so that he will continue to contribute to the success and growth of NAGAFF, carrying on the crusade of reforms in the maritime industry on particular and Nigeria in general.”
Onunji who is also a member of the Elders Council of NAGAFF advised the younger freight forwarders to borrow a leaf from the Enelama and learn to be hardworking and patient, as according to him, “patience answereth everything.”
He continued, “Let them work hard and look upon the lord and believe that everything has time. The Chairman Board, like I said, since 1999 that we started this NAGAFF until last year 2024, he has never come up to celebrate his birthday but to me, this is God’s appointed time for him to be celebrated.
“My advice to the younger freight forwarders is for them to have faith and believe that one day, God will visit them as he is visiting our Chairman, Board of Trustees because with all the prayers offered for him and his family today, to me God has richly blessed them and blessed us too who are celebrating him because if you celebrate someone, God celebrates you.”
While urging him not to relent in his good work for NAGAFF, Chief Onunji also prayed God’s abundant blessings and continuous guidance upon the founder of the association, Dr. Boniface Aniebonam saying, “Our prayer is for God to give him long life because he still have a lot to do for NAGAFF and for humanity. 71 years to me and to many, is just the beginning, he has never started.”
