DAVID CHUKWUDIMMA PIUS

Mr. David Chukwudimma Pius was born on the 10th day of April, 1974 at Amenu village, Uburu in Ohaozara local Government Area of Ebonyi state, Nigeria.

He attended his primary education at Central School, Oyibo, Rivers state and his Secondary Education at Mivara Secondary School and the united Christian Secretarial and Business College, all in Lagos state, Nigeria.

He proceeded to Olabisi Onabanjo University Ago-Iwoye, Ogun state where he obtained  Higher Diploma in Mass Communication.

Mr. Pius also obtained an Advance Diploma in Cost Management from the Nigerian College of Cost Management/ Certified Institute of Cost Management Nigeria.

He holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Transport Management from the Ladoke Akintola University and is on the verge of bagging his Masters’ Degree in the same course from the same University.

Our Icon of the Week also sits on the helm of affairs of many businesses and companies as the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer respectively among which are Uburu Maritime Limited and the Newvid Multilinks International Limited.

Mr. Pius is also a Community person as well as a community leader who has the interest of his people and his community at heart which informed his playing a very active role in his community both at the national and branch level. He has also supported many of his community’s associations both at home and in the diaspora thus, he is the Chairman, Amenu Welfare Union, Lagos Branch.

Through his contributions when he was the Public Relations Officer of the Save Nigeria Freight Forwarders, Importers and Exporters Coalition (SNIFFIEC) and now, he has brought a lot of changes to bear in the industry as he is a voice that cannot be easily silenced in the freight forwarding practice in Nigeria.

He has built and continue to build people of different background, a de-tribalized Nigerian, a gentleman to the core, a husband of one wife and a father of two lovely kids, Pius has touched the lives of almost all that has come across him at one time or the other hence our reason for celebrating him as the Primetime reporters Icon of the Week.
