Following the rejection of the new haulage rates from Eastern Ports to various destinations across the country by the Africa Association of Professional Freight Forwarders and Logistics of Nigeria, APFFLON, the Nigerian Shippers’ Council has extended the implementation of the new rates by two months. The House of Representative Committee On Public Accounts has given an opportunity to the Securities and Exchange Commission, SEC and the Fiscal Responsibility Commission, FRC to amicably settle the differences on the alleged non-remittance of over N45 billion to the Consolidated Revenue Fund.
