…says the people of Rivers South East have regained their voice

The Rivers State Governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the 2015 general elections, Dr. Dakuku Peterside has congratulated Senator Magnus Abe on his victory at the just concluded legislative rerun elections.

Dr. Peterside who is also the Director General of the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA) described the victory as pleasant and reassuring despite all odds erected by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) against the expression of the will of the people of Rivers South  East Senatorial district.

He said with that victory and those of other APC candidates, the people of Rivers State had an opportunity of rebuilding new structures of integration with the centre, and engender development based on genuine representation.

He said the victory of the APC in that election had reassured Rivers people that it was not all gloom and hopelessness but that a bright future indeed beckoned.

While expressing gratitude to the people of Rivers South East for being resolute in their resolve for genuine representation, Dr. Peterside said “We dedicate this victory  to all those who sacrificed with their blood in earlier elections to give the state a voice at the centre and good governance that captures the vision  of our founding fathers”.
